Then, we head to Jenn’s backyard as the crew digs piers and installs footings. We hold our breath as the crane lifts and lowers the container into place. Finally, general contractor Tom Silva heads out on a house call to help a homeowner solve an issue with a sagging gate. After excavating, Tom reinforces the gate’s post with some expanding foam. Then, he takes the gate and racks it back into shape before attaching custom-made brackets. Finally, Tom and the homeowner hang the gate and call it a day.

Where to find it?
To fix scratched-off varnish on furniture, Nathan used Mohawk Scratch-Off. To refinish the legs of Nathan’s office chair, he used Howard Restore-A-Finish in Walnut. To fill in the deep-set scratch in wood, Nathan used Mohawk Fil-Stik. All other tools used including 0000 steel wool, sanding sponges, and tack cloth can be found at local home centers.
How to Install a Shipping Container Pool
There’s a new kid on the block when it comes to backyard pools. Container pools, or pools made from recycled shipping containers, are becoming more popular, and there are a lot of good reasons why. These pools are long-lasting, mostly self-contained, and relatively affordable compared to their in-ground counterparts. Here are the steps on how to install a shipping container pool.
Where to find it?
Jenn tours the manufacturing facility of Trek Pools in Anderson, Indiana to see how their shipping container pools are made. Once home, Jenn is joined by Joel from Trek Pools to install a 8’x’20’ shipping container pool with pre-installed Hayward equipment and an Automatic Pool Cover. Working with the teams from All Crane and Shippers Highway Inc. the pool is lifted over the house and placed onto the concrete foundation poured by Kurtz Concrete and supported at each corner by helical piers.

Where to find it?
